About Our Program

We didnt start our program with specifics in mind. We knew we wanted to do better, but we didnt know where to begin other than a genetic 4 panel. No one whom we'd purchased puppies from had ever mentioned anything about taking initiatives further than swab tests. Until our last addition we'd never heard of OFA... be that as it may, we put all of our previously acquired puppies through OFA screenings. 2 out of our original 5 passed OFA screenings. (one is still pending) Regardless of the investment, the decision was obvious. Those that failed, we spayed/neutered and rehomed with full disclosure.  We proceeded forward with new criteria for any future additions. We hit the books, the forums, the websites, everything we could to learn more about OFA, health testing, what was congenital and/or inheritable. Most importantly, WHAT WAS  PREVEANTABLE.

So for our program to continue moving forward, we had to leave inferior practices in the past. All of our sires and dams are OFA inspected beyond the 

minimum requirements.  All of our sires and dams are genetically tested on the 7 panel. In doing this we can ensure a healthier quality of companion with verifiable records. All of our puppies are routinely vaccinated by a licensed vet, administered monthly heartworm prevention,  and on a regular deworming schedule. All puppies are registered, microchipped, and have lifetime enrollment in the AKC REUNITE PROGRAM.
